Trauma Therapist for Adults and Teens
Hi, I’m Joslyn. I work with people who are ready to reclaim their lives from the weight of trauma and just need the right support to begin.
I’ll guide you toward empowerment, peace, and a stronger sense of connection by offering tools and strategies that nurture real healing and growth. Too often trauma therapy can feel standardized or impersonal, leaving you discouraged. I want every step of our work to honor your unique story, with your safety and goals at the center.
Maybe feeling safe and at peace has never been part of your story. Perhaps life has always felt heavy, uncertain, or overwhelming, and you wonder if calm is even possible.
You are not alone.
Together we’ll first look at how trauma has shaped your life and discover the places where you feel most stuck. From there, we’ll choose approaches that fit your needs and hopes for healing.
As we move through this process, you can expect to feel more secure and connected to yourself and others, gain a deeper understanding of your experiences, and learn to navigate life with resilience and strength. Our work will help you create a life filled with safety, connection, and fulfillment.
Adolescence can be a time of overwhelming change, identity exploration, and emotional challenges—especially when trauma, family conflict, or mental health struggles are present. I specialize in working with teens through a trauma-informed, family systems approach, recognizing that a teen’s emotional well-being is deeply connected to their family environment. Rather than treating struggles in isolation, I help teens and their families understand how past experiences, relational dynamics, and patterns of communication shape their challenges and healing process.
Using evidence-based trauma therapy, I support teens in processing difficult emotions, building self-trust, and developing healthier coping skills. At the same time, I help families strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create a more supportive home environment. Whether your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, the impact of trauma, or difficulty navigating relationships, I provide a safe space where they can be heard, validated, and empowered. Healing is possible—not just for the teen, but for the family as a whole.
