Creative Soul-Care

You've been carrying this long enough.

Creative Soul-Care workshops and retreats offer a different kind of healing, one that doesn't require the right words, just the courage to show up.

You were never broken. You just believed the lie that you were. Let’s find your way back to the truth.
What is Soul-Care?
There is a version of you that existed before the loss. Before the trauma. Before you started believing the things that happened to you said something true about your worth.

She's still there.

Creative Soul-Care is a series of workshops, programs, and retreats designed to help you find your way back to her — not by reinventing yourself, but by restoring yourself. By clearing away the lies you've come to believe and remembering the truths that have always been yours.

We do this through creativity, because creativity bypasses the part of your brain that argues and defends and keeps score. Through art and expression, your inner world has a way of showing itself — gently, honestly, and sometimes surprisingly. And when it does, healing happens.

We do this in community, because you were never meant to carry this alone. There is something powerful about being witnessed by others who understand — the deep exhale of finally not having to explain yourself.

And we do this with joy. Because healing is serious work, but it doesn't have to be somber. There is room here for belly laughs and imperfect art and the particular relief of being yourself — fully, messily, freely yourself — in a room full of people who are doing the same.

Why is Soul-Care Needed?

There are things we all need as humans to feel joy and whole: safety, love, and meaning/purpose in our life. Most of us need to overcome fears and negative beliefs that keep us from feeling joy and whole. When we experience trauma and grief our sense of safety in the world, connection with others, and meaning in life often become disrupted and may be challenging to restore. Trauma and grief can leave us feeling vulnerable, isolated, and questioning the purpose and value of our existence. It can be difficult to trust others or the world around us, and our beliefs and values may be called into question. However, it is possible to work through trauma and grief and find a new sense of safety, connection, and meaning in life.

Creating Space Creative Soul-Care workshops and retreats offering you the opportunity for deep connection, healing, and growth that can lead you on the road to freedom, possibility, personal power & responsibility. Through our workshops and retreats, you will be invited to explore your inner world, express yourself creatively, and connect with others in a safe and supportive environment. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through various activities and exercises designed to help you process trauma and grief, release negative emotions, and tap into your inner wisdom and intuition.
“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.” “People who wade into discomfort and vulnerability and tell the truth about their stories are the real badasses.”

Soul-Care = Self-Love
4 Things to Know about Self-Love
We have come to understand that to live a life full of meaning and purpose, we must learn how to cultivate a wholehearted life – embracing our imperfections, being daring enough to speak our truth, and having the resilience to show up even when life gets hard. In our workshops and retreats, we create brave spaces that honour each person’s journey to wholeness. Our creative soul-searching, heart-healing workshops and retreats help transform grief and trauma into a life of self-acceptance, self-love, and self-compassion.

Self-Love Fuels Your Mental Health and Well-Being
Self-love plays a crucial role in maintaining your mental health and overall well-being. By acknowledging and accepting yourself as you are, you create space to let go of unrealistic expectations that often lead to self-doubt, anxiety, and stress. Society places immense pressure on us to conform to ideals that may not align with who we truly are, and this disconnect can be emotionally draining.

Practicing self-love allows you to refocus on your unique strengths and accomplishments, helping you build a more positive and compassionate inner dialogue. When you treat yourself with the same kindness and respect that you offer to loved ones, you naturally reduce feelings of guilt and shame. This nurturing approach empowers you to take control of your emotional health, leading to improved mental resilience, greater self-confidence, and a deeper sense of peace. Ultimately, self-love lays the foundation for a balanced and fulfilled life.
Self-Love Requires Intentional Self-Care
Self-love and self-care go hand in hand, with intentional self-care being a vital practice for your overall well-being. Taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally ensures that your needs are met and helps you maintain balance in your daily life.

Self-care can look different for everyone – it might involve getting enough sleep, engaging in physical activities, or spending time on hobbies that bring you joy and relaxation. Setting boundaries is also an important aspect of self-care, as it allows you to protect your energy and say no when necessary.

By carving out time for self-care, you’re sending a message to yourself that your health and happiness matter. This practice isn’t selfish; it’s an essential component of self-love that replenishes your mental and emotional reserves, making you more capable of showing up for others. Prioritising self-care allows you to live more fully, with increased energy and inner peace.
Forgiveness Is Key to Practicing Self-Love
A critical part of self-love is learning to forgive yourself for past mistakes. Holding onto guilt, regret, or self-blame can weigh heavily on your mental and emotional well-being, preventing you from moving forward and embracing a more compassionate view of yourself.

Self-forgiveness isn’t about excusing your past actions – it’s about acknowledging them, learning from them, and letting go of the negative self-judgment that holds you back. By practicing forgiveness, you create space for healing and personal growth. This allows you to approach life with a lighter heart and a more open mind, free from the emotional burdens of the past.

When you forgive yourself, you’re giving yourself permission to move forward, make positive changes, and experience greater inner peace. Self-forgiveness is an essential step toward self-love, empowering you to live with more confidence, kindness, and acceptance.
Self-Love Is Not Selfish
One of the most common misconceptions about self-love is that it’s selfish, but in reality, it’s an essential foundation for personal growth and well-being. Taking time to care for yourself doesn’t mean neglecting others – it means ensuring that you have the emotional and mental capacity to show up for the people you care about.

You can’t pour from an empty cup, and self-love ensures your cup is full. By recognising your own needs and setting healthy boundaries, you create space to care for yourself without feeling guilty. This practice allows you to recharge, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you.

When you nurture yourself, you become more present, compassionate, and capable of offering genuine support to others. Ultimately, self-love strengthens your ability to care for those around you while also maintaining your own well-being.
